Komichi is a tool that will help you develop games in a faster and more efficient way, eliminating the need to implement a path finding algorithm and a job system. Komichi takes advantage of multi-threaded processors to find many paths in a fast and efficient way, for this it implements a job system and parallelism in a safe way, when a path is found, or if none is found it will execute a callback specified by the user and give you a list of points to the destination.
Komichi also implements a weighting system in which one node can be chosen over another. This is useful, for example, to make the algorithm prefer a concrete path over a dirt path. It is also possible to specify the speed on a particular tile, for instance, to greatly increase speed on the concrete path and only slightly increase speed on the dirt path.
The examples within the project show how to use Komichi in an easy way in a 2D top down environment, in the following patches we will add support for 2D platform environments and 3D environments.
